To make sure our study addresses the real needs and priorities of those it’s designed to help, we’re forming a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE). Your insights will help us refine our research question, improve our participant materials, optimise our procedures, and ensure our findings are meaningful to patients and families.

What Does Participation Involve?

We plan to have four online sessions via Zoom over the course of the study

  • Each meeting will be ~60 minutes, plus ~30 minutes reading materials beforehand

  • Group size: 6 - 8 public contributors, alongside the research team and a PPIE coordinator

  • Accessibility: If timing or online format poses a barrier, we’ll find alternative ways (e.g. one-to-one calls, written feedback)

  • Confidentiality: With your consent we’ll record sessions for accurate notetaking; recordings will be anonymised and deleted after transcription

Introduce study aims, rTMS procedures, and PPIE role
